What this name means

The high place of safety.

Climb to where you can see clearly. When you are low, the threats look bigger than they are. From the high tower, perspective returns.

The promise kept in this name

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer, present your requests to God."

Philippians 4:6

How to practice this name today

Four small steps. Don't try to do all of them. Pick one. Do it today.

1.

Name the fear specifically.

"What is the worst that could happen?" Write it. Anxiety loses half its power when dragged into the light. The unnamed dread is the loudest.

2.

Match each fear with a true thing.

Take the fear and write next to it one thing that is true about God — a name, a promise, a remembered faithfulness. Truth louder than fear.

3.

Slow your breath, on purpose.

Four counts in. Six counts out. Repeat for two minutes. Your body believes what it practices. Teach it peace.

4.

Hand back one thing tonight.

Before sleep, name one thing you will entrust to Him until morning. Say it aloud: "This is yours now." Then sleep. He will not.
