This list is compiled from public-domain Bible texts and reference works. Hebrew and Greek originals follow standard scholarly transliteration. Some names appear in more than one category because scripture itself uses them in different contexts. The list is not exhaustive — God's character is wider than any list — but it covers the names most clearly attested in scripture.
