“Yahweh passed by before him, and proclaimed, “Yahweh! Yahweh, a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth,”
Exodus 34:6 · World English Bible
Full of grace, slow to anger.
He is gracious. The God who could rightly turn away from us instead bends near. Grace is not earned; it is His nature.
"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."
Four small steps. Don't try to do all of them. Pick one. Do it today.
Don't summarize. Don't spiritualize. Use the words you would use if no one were listening. He is listening, and He is not shocked.
Healing is sometimes immediate. More often, it is companionship through the long road. Let Him sit with you today, even before the cure.
Drink water. Eat something nourishing. Sleep. Call the doctor you have been avoiding. Stewarding your body is an act of faith, not a lack of it.
Healing flows. Send the message. Leave the meal. Speak the kind word. Often the path of our own healing is paved by tending another's.
