“Yahweh is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.”
Psalm 18:2 · World English Bible
The Rescuer.
He rescues. From the pit, from the snare, from yourself. Call on Him. He has not stopped delivering His people.
"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."
Four small steps. Don't try to do all of them. Pick one. Do it today.
Don't summarize. Don't spiritualize. Use the words you would use if no one were listening. He is listening, and He is not shocked.
Healing is sometimes immediate. More often, it is companionship through the long road. Let Him sit with you today, even before the cure.
Drink water. Eat something nourishing. Sleep. Call the doctor you have been avoiding. Stewarding your body is an act of faith, not a lack of it.
Healing flows. Send the message. Leave the meal. Speak the kind word. Often the path of our own healing is paved by tending another's.
